A Zoo-A-Rific Day

Each year we take a trip to the zoo.

It usually comes at a time when I just don't know what else to do with the kids.

And when our funds are limited.

I am grateful for our city's free zoo.

Even more grateful for free exhibits like the Stingrays and Children's Zoo during the first hour.

Although getting four kids there before 9am is always a challenge.

It's also always worth it in the long run.

I feel a sense of accomplishment when we can spend the whole morning out and not spend a dime.

And a picnic lunch is a perfect way to end the trip.

What a great day out!! The zoo is always fun, some of the animals (Gorillas) can be quite entertaining :)
And it's free? Wow that's cool! We usually visit Taronga Zoo in Sydney once a year, it's only an hour and a bit away by car. Glad to hear you enjoyed your outing...I'm sure the kids did too :)

Looks like so much fun! And it's free?!! Can't beat that. We missed our annual zoo trip this year because it was just too much $$$$...after the 3 family reunions this summer. I am finding everything I want to do with the kids this summer would turn out to be $100 plus days out.
Good thing they love our backyard sandbox and inflatable pool!
