Monday Funday

Back not that long ago when I was a full-time working momma I dreaded the end of the weekend.  But as time moves on and my role changes from career-minded professional to family-oriented executive, I now do declare Monday as my favorite day of the week!

The kids are at school and the hubster is back at the office.  The house is clean and quiet.

My parents took the kiddos to Purina Farms on Saturday to play with the baby animals and see the Easter Bunny.  I took the opportunity to get out and get some exercise while the kids were out of my hair.  Plus, the weather was incredible for a five-mile jaunt around the lake.

Sunday, we went to work on the yard.  It was in terrible shape made even worse by the half-ass attempt to put a basketball court in last weekend.  Progress was made and the plot was tilled for our vegetable garden.

I have high hopes for this week, despite the crappy weather we are supposed to be getting.  I started making several different to-do lists this morning.  One for baby stuff, one for yard stuff, one for work stuff, one for stuff stuff.

Those to-do lists go into effect tomorrow.  Because today is my weekend.  I'm going to enjoy the last few minutes of peace and quiet.  Soon the kids will be home I will become enslaved to their needs.

Happy Monday!

Hope you enjoyed your day! Mondays always seem so frantic to me. Trying to think of a day that doesn't... LOL

I would have to agree with you that Monday would be my favorite day if I was still at home. I have 6 more weeks of work, and then MAYBE I can make it through July staying home before I start working again. (Here's hoping, although the kids would be home with me. ;(

OMG - Monday is my favorite day of the week. It's MY Ahhhhh day b/c like you say it's the day I can start collecting myself from the weekend's chaos again. I also truly dislike Tuesday, so much so that I've renamed it Ticked Off Tuesday. THAT seems to be the day all heck breaks loose!
