I'm not sure why, but Layla is on strike. Against sleep. At least in the traditional forms. Like in her crib. Or anywhere, really. Unless my arms are wrapped around her.
Since the warm, sunny days have given way to cold rain, I don't actually mind the extra cuddling.
Except maybe at two in the morning when I awake with full on body aches and really, reeaaaly want to stretch out across the king sized bed. Yet do not dare lest wake the princess and be faced with hours of smiles and giggles because sleep be damned!
It is also very hard to get anything accomplished with a baby who only sleeps while I am holding her. Namely, the six Halloween costumes I decided to make. All by myself.
I might be insane.
Or severely sleep deprived.

My daughter went through that phase! I hear ya, girl! Have you considered a Moby wrap?! Some people use those for babies who prefer to be held while sleeping. Just a thought!
Only a little insane. ;) I've been there, though I also used a swing for backup. I've also used the Moby, but it might be hard to sew with a baby attached. Sending hugs, prayers, and luck. :)
Insane maybe lol but aren't we all! Hope you got those costumes made in time :)
