Whew! Now that the holiday weekend is over it’s back to reality around here. The past week has been a clusterfudge of chaos.
Today is the official “Get this Sh*t Organized” day. With all the new baby clutter and my previous lack of ability to lift anything heavier than said new baby, I am now drowning in a sea of disarray.
After dumping two toy buckets in both Alex’s and Eva’s rooms, they have gleefully rediscovered precious play things. Thus marking the first day in over a week that they have willing played together. And the first day I opted out of my mid-afternoon Percocet fix.
Speaking of drugs…did you know it is frowned upon to operate a vehicle while under the influence of a narcotic? Which means we are stuck in the house for the rest of the week.
But people keep bringing me food!
Which means I don’t have to cook.
There are all kinds of perks to having a baby.
Speaking of the baby.
She’s pretty darn perfect.
Aaaand, now that I’m cutting back on my drug use, I might be able to complete her birth story.
And possibly write a decent post. You know one that makes sense and isn’t just a bunch of pictures.
But, that will have to wait for another day.

I'm glad you're starting to feel better. Congrats again on the baby!
I bet she is perfect...can't wait to here her birth story!
I had to have morphine for pain on my third c section because I had a very bad cold and it KILLED every time I coughed. But I had to cough or else my lungs would get so congested, I would literally feel like I was drowning! Worst feeling ever.....feeling that cough build, wanting to hold it back, knowing it would hurt soooo much...but your body can't hold back a cough. then they brought me the little blue pills. :)
I think I may have faked a few coughs after that. LOL
Hope everything gets easier soon.
I never liked how the strong stuff made me feel... so I quickly weaned myself of it and stuck with the 800 mg of Ibuprofen.
